Vitamin D oral spray has been clinically studied and proven to support healthy vitamin D levels year-round, giving both you and your customers confidence in its efficacy, safety, and premium quality.
The efficacy of Valens Vitamin D oral sprays was a subject of research conducted at the Institute of Nutrition. This study served as the introduction to a three-year applied research project titled “Challenges in Achieving Adequate Vitamin D Status”, co-funded by Valens, the Public Agency for Research Activities, and the Ministry of Health.
The study aimed to evaluate whether daily supplementation with 25 µg (1000 IU) vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in the form of Valens oral sprays contributes to a sufficient increase in blood vitamin D levels. Two of our products were included: Valens D 1000 water-based spray and Valens D-Natur oil-based spray, each providing 1000 IU of vitamin D3 per dose.
The study took place during winter (January–March 2019) with 235 healthy participants who were initially insufficiently supplied with vitamin D (12–20 µg/L). Severe deficiency was observed in 21% of participants, who were advised to begin supplementation immediately. The control group received no supplementation, while the test group received 25 µg (1000 IU) vitamin D daily, equivalent to 500% of the legislated recommended daily intake.
